Elementary School Spring & Fall Tours
Come join us on the farm for a unique learning experience! Learn about animals and where your food really comes from!
Teachers: Lesson plans are available upon request for Math, Science, Language Arts and Health. Videos are also available.
Spring Tour
The Spring Tour (approx. 1 hour) includes:
- Educational walking tour of fields
- Visit with the animals
- Sample of ice cream
- Coloring sheets and cow name tags
- "Got Milk" stickers
- Classroom study sheets (upon request, call for details)
- Plant your own seedling in our greenhouse to take home
Fall Tour
The Fall Tour (approx. 45 min.) includes all of the above, except, instead of a seedling, the children will experience a tractor-pulled hayride to a pumpkin patch where they may choose their own pumpkin to take home. This tour also, includes a bag of hay to feed the animals and "Create a Pumpkin" bag to decorate the pumpkin when they get home.
Important Tour Info
Tours are available April through June or September through October by appointment only.
- The fee is $4.00 per child and $4.00 per chaperone
- Chaperones receive all the same benefits as the children, therefore, due to the cost of materials, ALL chaperones will be charged $4.00
- Children must be accompanied by 1 chaperone per 10 children
- Minimum group 10 students
- Maximum group one busload @ 45 students
To make arrangements for the tours, call or email at least two weeks before the planned visit to guarantee availability and to inform us of the EXACT number of students and chaperones attending. A non-refundable $20 deposit must be received within 7 days of the reservation. We tour rain or shine. Make sure the children have appropriate footwear and clothing for walking outdoors.
Fees must be paid on the day of the visit.

Directions to our farm
From Somerset
Follow Whetstone Hill into Swansea which becomes Marvel Street. We are approximately 2 miles on the right from North Elementary School.
From Fall River
Go over the Brightman Street Bridge to second set of lights (Pizza Hut is on the left); turn right onto Brayton Point Road. Follow through the set of lights and the 4-way stop to the end of the road. Turn left onto Marvel Street. The farm is approximately one-half mile on the right.
